This year, I’ve felt listless and very hermit-like thus far (Is it the Cancer kicking in?). Well, after my return from Japan and California. For some strange reason, I’ve just been hiding out in my house, rarely going out. Usually, by this time of the year, I would have had 5 cosplay ideas and a plethora of sample/inspirational pictures to draw from. Not for 2011. Haven’t figured out what’s wrong with me but I made the executive decision (hah) on Monday to go ahead and order that gunmetal grey wig I’ve had my eye on for a year now. I had NO idea who to cosplay as such but I knew I wanted that darn wig. The style is exactly like the sea foam green wig I had last year when I cosplayed Morrigan – so at least in style we know it suits me. We just have to see if it works with my coloring. ::nervous::

After a few chat sessions with my friend Cynthia and a few FB posts with Jen W, I think Fran of Final Fantasy XII is a good character. She is interesting to say the least. I do however, have to tone down/edit her outfit though.. it is definitely in the skank dept that Morrigan was in. Plus… I need to WORKOUT HARD if I were to cosplay her, no need for added pressure!! Yeah… toning down is definitely required. Thankfully, I have some ideas. The most difficult part of this cosplay would be:

1. Working Out
2. Making the headpiece
3. Making the thigh highs/legging cutouts

I think I know how I’m going to modify the body.. and you are definitely not going to be seeing things you shouldn’t be seeing! Perhaps I’ll put up some sketches soon. At least, this is the idea I’m running with 78 days in advance. Due to some other happenings in my life, we shall see how this all pans out. I’m excited!! Can’t wait to get the wig and try it on! I know the character has red eyes but I really don’t wanna buy a pair of red contacts and wear them once. I shall think on it.
